Today wasn’t so long at Bubandi village. We finished around 1300. Usually it has been 1500-1600 in the afternoon because of the great numbers that show up. It is one of the villages that has the most turnout to receive care from the OurGanda team. Today I assisted Prince, a nurse that volunteered to help us today, by writing down the vitals. Once again, we started with passing out the last of the items I brought from the US.

The mend received a razor and tooth-pick-floss. They were all very pleased!

The women received either underwear, soap, or tooth-pick-floss. Towards the end, I ran out of items so I had to stretch what I had left. They were happy to receive any of the items. 😊

Getting ready to dispense medications!

Doreen and I...

Prince taking a man’s blood pressure.

Doreen in the background prescribing hypertension medication for a woman while Prince prepares to take the man’s blood sugar and I record the results...

Frank, me, and Joe wearing our African shirts.

The team enjoying sugar cane...Joe was responsible for taking both teams to their respected villages, my team to Bubandi, and the other team to Kinyante because Joseph, the other driver is sick. The other team finished later than us, so we had about an hour and a half wait until they joined us and Joe took us back to Bundibugyo.

While I enjoyed ice cream that Joe so graciously purchased for me...

It is getting late here and I am tired. Tomorrow I will post of harvesting rice after finishing our work. 😊 Until next time, have a wonderful day/night!
